Do you like to eat poop? What about lay eggs on it? Forget about that last bit, we don't lay eggs. Well, do you like the smell of poop? If you don't then that's normal, but if you do, you're either really weird or a dung beetle. It's okay if you like the smell of your own feces, apparently some people do, I have no idea why, but if you like the smell of other people's poop than you should stay away from me. Who knows, you may be a dung beetle that just happened to be smart enough to use a computer and nice enough to view my blog posts, but I'm pretty sure you're not. I'm almost positive you're another person viewing my post either because you have to reply or you have to grade it. So, with that being said I'm going to give you a fact about those nasty poo lovers known as dung beetles. The scientific name for dung beetles is Scarabaeus viettei. Don't believe me? Then look it up, I did around three times just to be sure and each time it brought something about dung beetles up. Another fact about dung beetles is the fact that they like poop. Hence the name. Also, these special seeds known as Ceratocaryum argenteum tricked the beetles into believing they were actually poop. The seeds give off the same smell as poop and they also kind of look like poop, so dung beetles rolled them away and planted them into the dirt. The beetles had no idea that the seeds weren't actually poop unless they tried eating them or laying their eggs on them. That was one dirty trick.
